Pilot project on actions to mainstream disability policies submitted under the open call for proposals for transnational projects VP/2004/008

The Orange Book, as a collection of case studies coming from BAS partners, will present best practices and state-of-the art of the respective countries. It will be issued in the framework of the project.
The main output will constist of showcase of building and urban space accessibility: material collection; material production (for dissemination activities), CDrom (labelled BAS Orange), leaflets, website; demonstration& training& conferences (4 training transnational conferences, 2 enlarged transnational conferences).
The primary objective of the BAS Website is to disseminate the best practices and results on public buildings and services accessible for all, including people with physical, sensory and mental disability. The website, as a modern method of communication, addresses itself to diverse audiences, more in particular, disability organisations and decision makers. It aims principally to raise public awareness about the possibility to make buildings accessible. The website is made accessible for partially sighted people.
